A suicide bomb blast went off near a bank in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province on Thursday.

AVA- The explosion occured near the Kabul Bank branch in the provincial capital city, Lashkargah.

The blast left casualties and the victims were being transferred to emergnecy hospital in the city.

Insurgents have targeted banks in the past apparently to target security forces collecting their salaries.
