Five militants loyal Islamic State group were killed after an airstrike targeted them in Afghanistan's northern Jowzjan province, an official statement said Sunday.
AVA- They were eliminated by the Afghan air forces while they were travelling in a Corolla car from Chaqma Chaqor village of Qosh Tepa district to Sardara village of Darzab district.
The dead militants were identified as Hezbullah, a key commander, Muhibullah, squad leader, Sadruddin, group commander, Mawdod, squad leader, Faiz Mohammad, squad leader.
Faiz Mohammad was also popular as Zahr-e-Mar which means snake venom.
The strike comes nearly three weeks after IS launched an assault on Darzab district in the province, killing at least five Afghan soldiers.
