Samangan security officials said the Taliban member was captured during a security forces operation on Sunday night.

AVA- A key Taliban member was arrested on Sunday evening in a security forces operation in Samangan province, security officials said Monday.
 
Samangan police said Shafiullah, the Taliban member, had been involved in a number of insurgent attacks in Darahsof district of the province.
 
According to police, Shafiullah confessed to his crimes during a preliminary investigation.
 
No further details were provided about the operation.
