Afghanistan's Interior Ministry said on Wednesday that the county's police prevented a bicycle bombing in Kabul province.

AVA- In a statement, the ministry said that police arrested a terrorist who was planning to detonate an explosive-laden bicycle in the bazaar of Char Asiab district, south of Kabul.

It said that the militant, who was arrested Tuesday, was being probed for further information.

The seizure comes on a day when Taliban killed scores of people in two separate attacks in Paktia and Ghazni.

In Kabul too, three grenade explosions killed a civilian and injured three police in Kabul city centre late Tuesday.
