A suicide bomber has blown himself only meters from reaching his intended target of Afghan security forces coordination center in Nawa district of the Helmand province, local officials said.

AVA- The spokesman of Helmand governor, Omar Zawak said, “The suicide bomber in a Humwee blew himself up before entering an Afghan security forces coordination center when Afghan forces recognized him.”

In the meantime, security forces have confirmed that two soldiers were wounded in the incident.

This comes as at least one Afghan border police killed and five others wounded in a car bomb explosion in Lashkargah city of southern Helmand province yesterday morning.
