Two children, two women found dead in west Afghanistan

Bodies of two children and two women were found in Afghanistan's western province of Farah on Sunday, an official said.


Najib Omar, a police official, said, the bodies were found in Shamalgah area of the provincial capital city, also Farah.
 
He said that they were stabbed to death with knife.
 
The motive behind the killings remains unclear.
 
Police launched an investigation into the incident.
 
The bodies were found a day before celebration of universal Children’s Day.
 
On the occasion of the day, the European Union in Afghanistan said it was highly concerned of continued violence against children.
 
It urged the Afghan government the parliament to speed up the legal process of finalizing the Child Act.
 
“The EU will continue to work with all stakeholders to improve the situation of Afghan children,” it said.
