Local officials on Tuesday said three villages have cleared from militants and four narcotics processing factories destroyed in Argo district of northeastern Badakhshan province.

AVA- Provincial police spokesman, Sanaullah Rouhani told Pajhwok Afghan News that four drug factories were destroyed and a number of weapons seized during an operation of Afghan forces in the district.
The weapons seized included two Kalashnikovs and some ammunition, he said.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior said three villages including Toghak, Boiak and Khwaja Mawla of Argo district of Badakhshan were cleared of militants during an operation.
The ministry in a statement said that a key Taliban commander named Matin was arrested in the operation.
The operation that launched two days ago would continue until Argo district completely cleaned, the source concluded.
