592 people killed or injured in January, 2018
According to the information of Civilian Protection Advocacy Group (CPAG), 228 people have been killed and 364 others injured in the first month of 2018.

AVA-The deadliest of attacks carried out by the Taliban in Kabul last month in which hundreds were killed and wounded.
Findings of the CPAG show that the first month of 2018 could be considered the deadliest and bloodiest month for the residents of Kabul province in which 337 civilians, including women and children, have been killed and wounded.
It is worth mentioning that majority of the victims were civilians who suffered casualties as a result of suicide bombing and the Taliban claimed responsibility for these attacks.
Civilians also suffered casualties in 18 other provinces of the country such as Heart, Ghazni, Farah, Kunuz and Jawzjan as a result of ground military offensive, airstrikes and landmines.
In addition, suicide attacks, airstrikes, landing of mortar shells, rockets and targeted attacks have been other reasons behind last month casualties.
The CPAG is concerned over the surge of civilian casualties and suicide attacks by armed groups in cities and wants to elaborate that if the government did not take immediate and professional steps for the establishment of security there is the possibility that the coming months would proved more dangerous.
The representative of CPAG termed recent attacks by the Taliban un-Islamic and say that Islam considered the murder of innocent human being Haram and prohibited such act.
The CPAG believed that militants had no clear definition for civilians and public institutions then people had no other option but to stand against armed groups for their protection. All armed groups are reminded here to stop their activities in cities and residential areas.
