Disagreement of NUG Leaders on Key Issues
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah have addressed the 29th anniversary of Soviet forces withdrawal from Afghanistan during a ceremony held in Presidential Palace.
AVA- Marking the event, President Ghani spoke about several issues currently ongoing in the government, including the distribution of electronic ID cards, election and peace process.
Ghani has declared that ending the political crisis in the country is the responsibility of the government and the bitter experiences of history should not be repeated again.
“If we want to solve the problems, we must have proper decisions. All issues come under a framework then a final decision should be taken. The trust atmosphere is a serious need,” said President Ghani.
He noted that the National Unity Government (NUG) is committed to hold a transparent election.
“Everyone must cooperate with us for a transparent election. The government believes in a transparent election and this national process should be implemented,” President added.
In the meantime, the Chief Executive stated that nothing can forcibly imposed on the people and an unwise decision, without consultation with the citizens, disperses people and would have horrible consequences.
Pointing to the start of electronic ID cards distribution process, Abdullah emphasized that the country is currently in a tough situation and the rulers should not make further crisis.
On the other hand, the second vice-president, Sarwar Danish called the only way to solve the current tensions is the implementation of the constitutions.
