Ata Mohammad Noor suspends major rally plan for Kabul city
The ousted governor of northern Balkh province and the chief executive of jamiat-e-Islami Ata Mohammad Noor has suspended a major rally planned for the capital Kabul.
AVA- Noor was speaking in a press conference today in the aftermath of a consultative meeting in the wake of the upcoming Kabul Process summit.

He said the major rally planned for Kabul city has been suspended for the time being to allow the Kabul Process summit convention.

The for Balkh governor said the suspension of the plan does not mean that he has given up the plan for the rally.

Noor said he and his supporters are having a firm resolve for the rally for justice but their plan coicided with the Kabul Process.

The Office of the President, ARG Palace, announced over two months ago that President Ghani has approved the resignation of the Balkh governor Ata Mohammad Noor.

Noor admits had submitted his resignation as a guarantee to the government that he will step down if the demands of Jamiat-e-Islami are met by the government.

However, he says the government has approved his resignation as negotiations were underway insisting that none of the conditions and demands of the party have been met.
