A four-year-old girl has been rescued and six individuals, including two women, detained in connection with her kidnapping in eastern Nangarhar province.

AVA- Police paraded the six detainees before media representatives at a press conference in the police headquarters in Jalalabad, the provincial capital, on Monday.
Police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashraqiwal told the press conference that the alleged kidnappers had abducted the minor girl from Fatima Al-Zahra hospital in limits of the 7th police district on Sunday afternoon.
Police detained two women and four men and recovered the girl from their possession. The girl was reunited with her family.
Farhad, the girl’s father, thanked police and hoped security forces would continue their efforts at preventing such incidents. The father said he did not believe he would see his daughter again.
However, the detainees rejected their involvement in the kidnapping, but Mashriqiwal said every criminal claimed innocence.
