AVA- Abdul Manan Arghand was killed by unknown motorcyclists at about 9am in Yarana Market of Kandahar City, a relative of the victim said.
Arghand, 31, died on the spot, as the assailants managed to escape. He is survived by his spouse and three children.
Meanwhile, New York Times correspondent Mujib Mashal tweeted Abdul Manan Arghand, who reported for Kabul News, was shot dead on his way to work.
In 2017, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) says, 20 journalists and media workers were killed, an increase from 13 deaths in 2016.
