A child was killed while seven others were wounded as an explosion went off in Afghanistan's eastern Jalalabad city on Wednesday, officials said.

The blast happened near ironwork shops in Police District 2 of the city.
A 10-year-old child was killed while seven other civilians were injured in the incident.
The injured included four children and a shopkeeper.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
