An explosion was heard in the vicinity of the 6th police district of Kabul city amid reports the incident has taken place close to the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Ministry.

Kabul police spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai confirmed that the incident has taken place close to the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.
He said there are no reports available regarding the type of the explosion.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Fraidoon Azhand confirmed the incident and said the blast has taken place close to the gate of the ministry but there are no reports available regarding the casualties.
However, security sources are saying that a suicide bomber has detonated his explosives near the ministry gate and as a result at least 10 people have been killed or wounded.
