3 Nov 2023 - 11:21

The spokesperson of the US State Department has asked the government of Pakistan to adhere to its commitments in dealing with immigrants and asylum seekers and refrain from deporting them.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Matthew Miller, the spokesperson of the US State Department, in a press conference, asked the Pakistani government to stick to its commitments in dealing with migrants and asylum seekers and refrain from deporting them.

The spokesperson of the US State Department has also asked Afghanistan's neighbors, including Pakistan, to allow Afghan migrants who seek international support to enter their territory and coordinate with international humanitarian organizations to provide humanitarian aid.

It should be remembered that about a month ago, the government of Pakistan gave 1.7 million immigrants "without residence documents" until November 1 (10th of Scorpio) to leave the country. Pakistan has warned that if they do not leave, these migrants will be arrested and deported. This deadline ended yesterday.
