Afghan interior ministry officials following statement on Sunday announced at least 8 Taliban militants were killed or injured following military operations by Afghan national police forces during the past 24 hours.

The source further added Afghan national police forces conducted four military operations in conjunction with the Afghan army, Afghan intelligence and coalition security forces.

The operations were conducted at Kapisa, Kandahar, Maidan Wardak and Khost provinces of Afghanistan where 6 militants were killed, 2 militants were injured and 9 others were detained.

Afghan interior ministry following the statement also added Afghan security forces seized some weapons, ammunitions and explosives during the operations.

Anti-government armed militant groups yet to comment regarding the operations. (Khaama)
