Afghanistan beats Namibia in ICC Under-19 cricket World Cup
The Afghanistan Under-19 cricket team defeated Namibia by four wickets during its third match in ICC Under-19 World Cup in United Arab Emirates.
Namibia Under-19s set a target of 193 runs in 50 overs by losing 9 wickets, after electing to bat first by winning the toss.
However, the Afghan batsmen managed to chase the target 25.3 overs only by losing six wickets. Mohammad Mujtaba and Hashmatullah Shaidi both made half centuries, while Nasir Ahmadzai remained not out after making 29 runs from 32 balls.
On the bowling side, Muslim Musa took 3 wickets while Sharafuddin Sharaf took 2 wickets and Hashmatullah Shaidi managed to take one wicket to restrict the Namibian batsmen score only 192 runs.
This was the second consecutive win by the Afghan Under-19 cricket team in ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Afghanistan defeated Australia by Australia by 36 runs on Monday.
Afghanistan lost its first match in ICC Under-19 cricket World Cup against Bangladesh on Saturday.
