Afghan authorities foiled a bid to smuggle three falcons to Pakistan and arrested the accused.

AVA- The birds were hunted in northern province of Balkh.

They were being smuggled by three people in a car which was stopped by police in Surobi district of Kabul.

The falcons were later transferred to Kabul Zoo.

This is second set of animals to land in Kabul Zoo after failed smuggling attempt.

The previous one seven months ago involved four lions which were seized in Kandahar province en route to Pakistan.
