Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), International Service , 28 Apr 2012 - 17:57

Two Afghan officials say a roadside bomb in the country's east has killed 10 members of the Local Police.

The government officials say the local police were killed Saturday in Chak district of Wardak province while traveling in a pickup truck from a ceremony. The officials spoke anonymously because they were not authorized to release the information, AP reported.
The Afghan Local Police are a government-sponsored militia force that works alongside the Afghan army and the national police.
