Yesterday the Taliban militant-associated persons in Farah province kidnapped 13 engineers and workers of a road construction along with two domestic workers.
According to Press TV reports, Farah province security officials pointed to the kidnapping of 15 people in Farah province. It added 13 of these people were Iranian and 2 other residents of Farah province that worked for road construction called Aw Farja.
Mohammed Muner, police force officials of Farah said Taliban militants attacked to the construction road company near to "Posht-e-Koh" district of Farah province where these people were working when they were arrested and taken to an unknown location.
Munir claimed Taliban in Farah province wants to stop construction process of road stretching from Iran to the western of Farah province.
A number of Iranian companies are getting involved in construction projects in several western parts of Afghanistan.
The head of Taliban earlier had warned about stopping this project and asked Iranian to leave.
Taliban forces said their high ranked commanders in Farah province will decide about Iranian workers and engineers.
Consulate officials of Islamic Republic of Iran in the west of Afghanistan condemned this kidnapping and said among those people seven were Iranian engineers.
Rahim Mohammadi Yakta, the general consul of Iranian in Herat said it is still unclear what has happened to the kidnapped Iranian.
This border road connects "Berjand" province to the Farah province in the west of Afghanistan whose construction started last year by helping of Iranian engineers.
