Police among 11 injured in Mazar-i-Sharif roadside bombing
At least 11 people wounded as a police pick-up hit a roadside bomb in the capital of northern Balkh province on Saturday evening, officials said.

AVA- The provincial police chief, Shotar Jan Durrani, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred at around 6pm today when a landmine ripped through a pick-up vehicle belonging to police.

The bombing took place in front of Noor Market situated in the north of Hazrat Ali Shrine in Mazar-i-Sharif city, the provincial capital, he said, without having exact figures of casualties.

A doctor at the Abu Ali Sina-e Balkhi Hospital, Shakir Ehsan, said at least 11 injured people, including two policemen and nine civilians, were delivered to the hospital from the incident scene.

According to another security official the pick-up was damaged by the bombing but another corolla model had been completely destroyed.
