Afghan Voice Agency(AVA), The Kabul Process meeting is expected to consolidate efforts on peace and that Afghanistan takes the lead in the process.
“Any efforts on Afghan peace should be made at the initiative, ownership and leadership of the Afghan government,” Chief Executive’s deputy spokesman, Javid Faisal, told reporters.
Countries that have been invited to the meeting include also from Central Asia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, India, China, U.S., U.K. and Norway. Representatives from the United Nations and the European Union are also expected to attend the meeting.
Afghan government has repeatedly called on Taliban insurgents to join peace process, but the group has refused to accept the offer.
