Taliban, IS clash in Afghanistan, over 20 dead
Fighters loyal to Taliban and Islamic State militant groups clashed with each other in Afghanistan's northern Jowzjan province, leaving 23 dead, officials said.

AVA- The battle happened when Taliban attacked IS overnight in Gardan and Chaqma Chuqur of Qosh Tepa district, the provincial governor’s spokesman said.

Mohammad Raza Ghafoori said that the 23 deaths included 13 IS and 10 Taliban insurgents.

He said that the Taliban fighters had come for the ongoing battle from the different provinces.

Earlier this month, the police chief of Kandahar province month said that the Taliban leader urged his followers not to fight against IS.
