2 civilians killed, 4 injured in Samangan clash
Two people were killed and four others wounded after gunmen loyal to rival commanders clashed during a wrestling match in northern Samangan province, an official said on Sunday.

AVA- The clash occurred between gunmen loyal to commander Almas and commander Rashid in Dara-i-Sauf Paeen district on Saturday afternoon, the district acting chief, Eng. Qurban, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the sides exchanged fire and as a result two civilians were killed and four others wounded. He said the clash had ended and police were controlling the area.

Commander Almas, one of the uprising forces leaders, confirmed the clash and said one of his supporters was killed and another two wounded.

One gunman loyal to commander Rashid was killed and three others wounded, Almas said.

The two commanders have long been engaged in enmity.
