Karzai: I can no longer call Taliban
Two days after Taliban carried out a deadly assault on a major army base in Afghanistan's northern Balkh province, former president Hamid Karzai Sunday said that he could no longer call Taliban as his brothers.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA), Karzai has long called Taliban brothers in his call on the group to join peace.

However, when asked by a reporter if he could still call Taliban as brothers after attack on army’s 209th Crops attack, Karzai said no.

“With such an incident happened, I can no longer call them so… anyone who commits killings due to political objectives, be them Taliban or Daesh are terrorists” Karzai said.

He went on saying that with such attacks, militants facilitate presence of foreigners in the country as he criticized the U.S.

“I call on America, you are present here, you didn’t bring peace, you used the largest bomb, you didn’t stop Taliban and Pakistan,” Karzai said.
