Afghanistan’s GDP drops by 4% this year
According to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), Afghanistan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 7% in the current fiscal year (1392).

The growth rate is 4% less than the previous year, the CSO said.

Haseebullah Mohed, Deputy Head of CSO, attributed the decline to the decline in the activities of foreign companies in the country.

He further added that the current domestic income could not compensate for the international aid that forms 68% of the national budget.

With the foreign aid winding down, the Afghan government has to find alternative ways to cover its expenses.(Wadsam)
