Hizb commanders pushing for handover of uprising forces posts to Taliban: Balkh
Some Hizb-i-Islami commanders are pushing for handover of uprising forces posts to the Taliban, the governor of northern Balkh province said.

AVA- The posts threatened are in Chimtal district, where a military operation is ongoing to clean it up of the Taliban militants.

Balkh governor Ata Mohammad Noor who is leading the operation since Saturday morning, told 1TV that some Hizb commanders are pushing for the uprising forces posts to be handed over to the Taliban.

He said that the district was cleared of the Taliban adding the insurgents suffered heavy casualties.

The governor confirmed death of two soldiers and wounding of eight others in the operation.

The operation involves both ground and air forces, the commander of 209th Army Corps Shaheen said.
