Rocket attacks kill two in southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta
At least two people have been killed and 20 others wounded in two separate rocket attacks in volatile city of Quetta in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan Province.

The first rocket fired by suspected militants hit a busy market, killing two people, including a 17-year-old boy and wounding 17 more people, senior police officials said.

A second rocket targeted a Christian neighborhood and injured three members of a family.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but police officials put the blame on separatist Baloch militants, who have carried out similar assaults in the past.

The group has been involved in decades of fighting for an ethnic homeland in the impoverished but mineral-rich Balochistan, which also supplies much of Pakistan’s natural gas.

In the past few months militants have destroyed dozens of gas pipelines and power towers in different parts of Balochistan.

Some Baloch militant groups say they want greater political autonomy and a share of the province's natural resources.(Press TV)
