Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Mohammad Asgari, the head of Del-Aram Sina Psychiatric Hospital, said in an interview with an AVA reporter: Following the bombing on the evening of Sunday, which occurred between 23:05 and 23:15 on the opposite side of this medical center and in a completely residential area, the hospital suffered extensive damage.
He explained: The intensity of the blast wave was such that all the doors and windows of the hospital were completely dislodged and destroyed, and this was not limited to just breaking the glass. Parts of the hospital walls were also damaged by shrapnel.
Referring to the condition of the patients, Asgari said: Fortunately, none of the patients or medical staff of this hospital were injured in this attack, because the center was operating at about half capacity during the Nowruz holidays, and the patients were hospitalized in a part of the building opposite the explosion site.
He added: At the time of the incident, about 30 patients were present in this center, mainly suffering from psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. That night, the necessary measures were taken to transfer the patients and all of them were transferred to other hospitals.
According to the head of the center, Del-Aram Sina Hospital is a private and civilian center located in a completely residential area. There are also about 20 to 30 residential buildings around the hospital, which were also damaged and had their windows broken by the blast wave.
According to the observations of the Ava reporter from the bombed area in front of the hospital, this area was also completely commercial and civilian. According to the residents, the targeted area was a commercial warehouse where the goods of merchants and businessmen were completely burned. Despite the passage of nearly a week since the bombing, a part of this warehouse is still burning and the fire has not been completely contained.
