Turning a win-lose game into a win-win game; How can Afghanistan prevent countries from influencing its internal affairs?!
In a conversation with AVA, political analysts and experts described the political and security instability and economic dependencies over the past half century, as well as the neglect of the country's national interests, as factors that have disrupted the political, military, and social balance in the country and paved the way for foreign influence and intervention. They emphasized: To the extent that Afghanistan plays a measured and large role in the regional structure, to the same extent, countries' influence in the country's internal affairs will be prevented, turning a win-lose game into a win-win game.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Many political experts believe that the fragile situation and ongoing instability in Afghanistan for more than five decades have provided a basis for many countries in the world to influence the country's political and economic structures.
However, the fundamental question is how can we prevent foreign influence in the political structure and major national decisions and leave the fate of the Afghan people in their own hands in the future?!

Historical Backgrounds of Foreign Influence
Weiss Nasseri, an expert on international relations, said in an interview with AVA: "Regarding the interference, games, and interventions of the world's countries in Afghanistan, it must be said that since the political and military balance in the country was disrupted due to numerous coups, including in the 1970s, unfortunately Afghanistan's active and neutral policy was also undermined, and the ground for influence and intervention was prepared."

Stating that foreign influence in the political and economic structure of Afghanistan is nothing new, Nasseri added: "After the 1973 coup and the breakdown of political and military fronts against countries in the region and the world, various countries began to intervene and influence Afghanistan."

According to Nasseri, after the beginning of political and security unrest in the country and the power struggles, usurpation, monopoly and hoarding of power by some factions, the politicization of the national army, and the forgetting of the country's national interests, the political balance was completely disrupted and the invasion of foreigners began in this land.

Strategies to prevent the influence of countries in the political and economic structure of Afghanistan

Nasseri also stated: "If a national government is formed in Afghanistan, arising from the will of the people, which also has a neutral and active policy in the world, it can prevent the intervention and influence of countries, especially those countries that play a negative role."

Stating that most of the interventions so far have been due to the lack of political balance in the country, he emphasized: As long as Afghanistan is a battlefield of proxy and competitive wars, its people will never see peace, and the interventions of countries will also continue in various forms.

Political and economic instability is the main reason for foreign interference in Afghanistan
Seyed Zia Hosseini, a political analyst, also considered the political, economic, and social structure of Afghanistan to be still vulnerable and fragile in an interview with Ava, emphasizing that each country wants to have influence and dominance in Afghanistan based on its own interests.
According to this political analyst, the reasons for the influence of countries, especially on the political and economic structure of Afghanistan, are due to several factors, including political instability and economic dependencies, which practically provide the basis for influence and sometimes interventions by countries.
Hosseini also mentioned some solutions to prevent foreign influence in the country, saying: "Strengthening national sovereignty and Afghanistan's active and constructive role in the regional structure can be effective in blocking the influence of countries."
He believes that to the extent that Afghanistan plays a measured and large role in the regional structure, the influence of countries in the country's internal affairs will be prevented, turning a win-lose game into a win-win game.
In his opinion, to the extent that Afghanistan can define its foreign policy priorities and goals, especially at the regional level, the more it can prevent the expansion of political influence that leads to unilateral use, and on the other hand, identify and manage the interests and strategies of countries in Afghanistan based on their national interests.

From the perspective of political analysts, along with the recent developments in Afghanistan, the withdrawal of foreign forces from the country, and the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, countries in the region and the world played positive and negative roles to achieve their own goals in Afghanistan.
In this new chapter of political and security developments in Afghanistan, if the aforementioned countries were unable to directly intervene in major political decisions due to the establishment of a unified and coherent government throughout the country, they at least indirectly, in the form of changing the mindset of some political leaders, made efforts to recruit, coerce, and distance each other from Afghanistan as a backyard that each thought of for itself.
From the perspective of experts, in the new chapter of international developments, the efforts of two groups of countries to influence Afghanistan have entered a new stage; on the one hand, Pakistan is seeking negative influence and creating an alliance with the opponents of the Islamic Emirate, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia also have new plans, and on the other hand, the United States and its new President, Donald Trump, who is still unclear about what new dreams he has for Afghanistan.
However, many experts believe that strengthening national sovereignty, active diplomacy, independent economic development, and regional cooperation are ways to counter foreign influence, especially negative foreign influence in Afghanistan.
