Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Religious and political experts consider International Quds Day a historic day for Muslim cohesion and unity, and say that Al-Aqsa Mosque, the place where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ascended to the throne of God and the first Qibla of Muslims, has a special place in the conscience and heart of every Muslim, and supporting this holy place and its liberation, as well as standing by the Palestinian people, is a religious obligation for every Muslim.
International Quds Day is a day of renewing the pledge to support the Palestinian people and liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque
Dr. Fadl Hadi Wazeen, a university professor and member of the Muslim World Scholars Union, in an interview with AVA, called International Quds Day a day of renewing the pledge to support the Palestinian people and liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque, adding: This day is considered one of the important days in the Muslim calendar. On this day, Muslims around the world renew their pledge to their God that they stand by the Palestinian people and will work to save Al-Aqsa Mosque from the clutches of the usurping Zionist regime.
He called Quds Day a “blessed custom” and said: “It is very important that Muslims declare their support for the Palestinian people with a slogan, especially in a situation where the Zionist regime has once again launched its attacks against the people of Gaza and is committing countless crimes. Therefore, Quds Day should be celebrated in an unprecedented and different way from the past, and the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza should be supported.” Wazin added that on International Quds Day, Muslims around the world should assure the people of Gaza and Palestine that they firmly support their rightful cause and the freedom of Holy Quds, and consider it their religious obligation. He also called on the people of the world and the free people of the world to support the Palestinian people, condemn the usurping Israeli regime, and put it in its place, as a human duty.
The collusion of the rulers of some Islamic countries with the Israeli regime is a historical crime.
Mr. Vazin continued his speech by stating that the deadly and shameful silence of many rulers of the ruling regimes in Islamic countries towards the crimes of the Zionist regime, and the collusion of some of them with this regime to suppress the Palestinian people, is a great and historical crime; a crime that neither God will forgive nor will history forget.
He emphasized that the current conditions of the Islamic world require the ruling regimes in Islamic countries to wake up and, instead of standing with the enemies of the nation, defend themselves, their religious values and their Muslim brothers and fulfill their responsibilities towards a great Islamic cause, namely Al-Quds, properly.
Vazin noted that the continued deadly silence of some rulers of Islamic countries has not only emboldened the Zionist regime in committing crimes, but has also weakened the majesty and greatness of Islam and Muslims worldwide.
The massacre of the people of Gaza in front of the eyes of the world; where is the human feeling?
Mr. Wazin also stated that the Palestinian people and the residents of the Gaza Strip are being sacrificed every day in front of the eyes of the world and their land is being destroyed. So, where is the human and Islamic feeling?
According to him, in recent days, after the Zionist regime violated the ceasefire, more than six hundred people, including women and children, were brutally martyred in Gaza, but no voice was raised from anywhere in the world to sympathize or support them.
Dr. Wazin also stated that it is a shame for the international community that in the 21st century they speak of human freedom, but they remain silent in the face of the massacre of the Palestinian people and, in the end, sometimes limit themselves to a few sentences of condemnation.
He called on the United Nations, the countries of the world and all international and human rights institutions to feel responsible for the Palestinian people and stop the oppression and tyranny of the Zionist regime.
According to him, the continuation of this situation in the Gaza Strip and throughout Palestine has called into question the credibility of the United Nations and other international institutions. Today, a handful of criminals in the name of the Zionist regime, without any fear or apprehension of the international community's reaction, continue to massacre, terrorize, and destroy the Palestinian land; they are razing a city with a population of more than two million to the ground and committing hundreds of crimes against humanity, while Islamic countries remain indifferent and silent.
According to Vazin, if the crimes of the Zionist regime continue in the shadow of the world's silence, all slogans of defending human rights and human dignity will become worthless and the credibility and prestige of the United Nations will be questioned even more than before. Therefore, the time has come for the countries of the world to stand with one voice and with firm determination against the crimes of the Israeli regime.
The people of the world should prevent further slaughter of the Palestinian people by the Zionist regime. Meanwhile, Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Mohammad Baqir Danesh, the temporary Friday Imam of the Madinat al-Alam Seminary in western Kabul, in an interview with AVA News Agency, called International Quds Day a fateful day for Muslims and the Palestinian people, and said: Quds Day should undoubtedly be celebrated.
It is worthy of being celebrated and on this day, the suffering people of Palestine, especially the people of Gaza, should be supported, in a situation where the Zionist regime has resumed its attacks and does not stop committing any crimes.
According to Danesh, just as supporting the people of Palestine is the human and Islamic duty of every Muslim, expressing hatred for the Zionist regime on Quds Day is also a human obligation and a defense of right against wrong.
Referring to the merciless killing of people in Gaza, he emphasized that this massacre and genocide requires that Muslims around the world condemn it with all their might, both through slogans and actions, and share in the sorrow and grief of the oppressed people of Palestine and the Gaza Strip.
The religious scholar added: Islamic countries should at least complain to the United Nations and seek justice so that the crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people stop and we no longer witness the slaughter of innocent people.
According to Danesh, while the Zionist regime’s attacks have resumed in violation of the ceasefire agreement of the past few days and the people of the Gaza Strip are being massacred once again, unfortunately the world and many Islamic countries are just watching and shamelessly remaining silent in the face of these crimes. This silence has become so catastrophic today that the criminal Zionist regime, without any mercy or consideration, is killing women and children, old and young, day and night, from the ground and sky, and destroying people’s homes and lands.
It is worth mentioning that the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan was named “International Quds Day” by the great leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (may Allah have mercy on him), in order to support the people of Palestine and Jerusalem, and to strengthen the unity and cohesion of the Islamic nation. This day is commemorated every year by Muslims around the world by holding gatherings, meetings, marches, and demonstrations.
