Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Kabul: In an interview with AVA, Professor Lotfullah Haqparast, a university professor, stated that International Quds Day is celebrated every year in support of Jerusalem, the first Qibla of Muslims and the people of Palestine, and added: This day is actually a reminder for the awakening of Muslims and also a point of movement towards unity and solidarity.
Mr. Haqparast continued by stating that Muslims in the early days of Islam prayed towards Jerusalem for seventeen full years and respect it like Mecca, adding: Muslims around the world consider defending Jerusalem against invaders as their religious duty and will never give up on it.
According to this university professor, in the current situation where the brutal Zionist regime has violated the ceasefire and Israeli soldiers have again attacked the Muslims of Gaza and Palestine from the ground and air, and Holy Jerusalem is also being insulted at every moment, they should know that the resistance of Muslims in defending their values and sanctities will never be defeated.
He called on international organizations to intervene seriously in the Palestinian issue so that a permanent ceasefire with strong international commitments can be established and the oppression of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people can be ended forever.
In Mr. Haqparast’s view, Muslims in such critical and sensitive circumstances are forced to celebrate International Quds Day as a day of support for Quds and the Palestinian people, and to express their feelings towards the people of Gaza, as well as their disgust with the Zionist regime, in the form of marches and chanting appropriate slogans.
Stating that silence in the face of Israel’s crimes against the people of Gaza is not a Muslim custom, Haqparast added: International Quds Day is coming at a time when the rulers of Islamic countries are actually observing the oppression of the Zionist regime and are well aware that the Palestinian people are being treated cruelly, contrary to all international laws and Islamic standards and human rights, but they are not showing any reaction.
The university professor, stating that the silence of the leaders of Islamic societies is regrettable, especially at this very sensitive and historical moment, emphasized that our demand for all international organizations and the International Islamic Conference is to stop the barbarities of the Zionist regime as soon as possible and defend the rights of children, women and the elderly in Gaza and Palestine.
Haqparast noted that International Quds Day, which was named after the initiative of Imam Khomeini (RA), is of particular importance in the current situation and that Muslims around the world can raise their voices on this day and, by creating unity and solidarity, demonstrate their hatred and disgust for the Zionist regime as well as their support for the Holy Quds and the Palestinian people.
Muslims expose the crimes of the Zionist regime on Quds Day
In an interview with Ava, Hujat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Hussaindad Sharifi, a professor at the Kabul Seminary, also emphasized the importance of holding International Quds Day in the current circumstances and said: Just as Mecca is a symbol of unity and uniformity of Muslims in a specific time and place, Jerusalem can also be a point for Muslims to come closer and move towards cohesion and create the necessary consensus to defend their holy places against the aggressions of the Zionist regime.
The philosophy professor stated that Quds Day is a day to declare disgust with the Zionist regime and support for Quds and the Palestinian people, and added: Declaring disgust and hatred for Israel and America, regardless of the religious perspective, is rationally necessary. He considered America and Israel responsible for the unrest in the region and the world and said: Muslims should, in celebrating International Quds Day, in addition to the slogan of death to Israel, expose all the conspiracies and plots of America and Israel against Muslims with appropriate slogans.
According to Mr. Sharifi, the time has come when mere slogans against Israel are not enough; rather, Muslims must take practical measures and do everything in their power to defend the first Qibla of Muslims, the people of Palestine and Gaza.
The crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza have become a major problem in the Islamic world.
Hojatoleslam Haji Mohammad Sadeghi, a seminary professor, also emphasized that the issue of Palestine and Gaza and the increasing crimes of the Zionist regime have become one of the main problems in the Islamic world today.
He stated that for nearly two years, the people of Palestine and Gaza, especially women and children, have been subjected to genocide by the Israeli military, and these tragedies hurt the heart of every person with a conscience.
Mr. Sadeghi added: I wish Muslims would take practical measures towards the people of Palestine and the Gaza Strip, but unfortunately, Islamic countries have fallen into a state of neglect and lack the unity and intimacy necessary to support their Muslim brothers.
He considered International Quds Day a good opportunity to support the people of Palestine and Gaza, and said: "Declaring support for Quds and the Palestinian people throughout the Islamic world can have positive effects and further isolate the usurping Israeli regime internationally." He also stated that little is expected of the United Nations and other human rights institutions under the control of global arrogance, so Muslims must take action themselves. However, UN called on the Palestinian people to support the Palestinian people against the oppression of the Israeli regime in accordance with their duties.
According to Sadeghi, it is very clear that Palestine and Jerusalem belong to Muslims and that Israel's claims are fundamentally false.
He called on the leaders of Islamic countries to stand with a great Islamic unity against the enemies of Islam, especially the aggressor Israel, so that no one dares to attack the values and sanctities of Muslims.
The last Friday of Ramadan and International Quds Day, which was named by Imam Khomeini (RA) to create unity among Muslims and support Jerusalem, is celebrated every year with a wider reception by Muslims.
