Improving the economy by determining a clear structure and national planning / The government, people and media play a key role in strengthening domestic production
In the first discussion this week, economic experts in the "Construction Dialogue" program, which is held twice a week by the Tebyan Center in Kabul, considered the selection of a specific structure of the economic system and the formulation of a national development program as basic priorities for improving the economic situation in Afghanistan. They also added that the government, people and media are responsible for supporting domestic production to strengthen the country's economic foundations.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Economic experts in the "Construction Dialogue, Review of Challenges and Presentation of Solutions" program, which is held twice a week by the Tebyan Cultural and Social Activity Center in Kabul, in the first discussion of this week yesterday, Monday, on presenting effective solutions to improve the country's economic situation, said that every government must first determine the framework of the economic policy structure and, accordingly, plan on the basic infrastructure in the country in the field of economic growth.
Designing practical solutions for the economic development of Afghanistan
In this discussion, Mohammad Shabir Bashiri, an expert on economic issues, stated that each economic structure has its own specific components in the issue of investment, development and sustainable growth of welfare and expansion of the scope of job creation, and said: Considering the abrogation of the constitution in 1382 and the failure to announce and select an official structure by the Islamic Emirate until now, it seems that choosing a mixed economic structure is appropriate for underdeveloped countries like Afghanistan.
According to him, although the current Afghan government has not yet officially announced the nature of the choice of a specific economic structure, considering the practical style and practice currently observed in the country's economic transactions, it is somehow within the framework of the free market economy structure.
Referring to the government's support, collusion, and creation of platforms to attract domestic and foreign investors to the private sectors of the market, he called it an example of the free market structure method and added: "Considering the experiences that have been gained from this method in the country over the past twenty years, sufficient and necessary coordination for the sustainable growth and development of welfare in Afghanistan is one of the necessities that we must pay serious attention to."
This analyst of the country's economic activities stated that over the past twenty years, there has been no discussion of collusion and development platforms in the area of coordinating free market structure programs. He stated that one of the most fundamental factors behind the country's weak economic power and increasing poverty graph, given the massive volume of billions of dollars in aid, is the failure to design and implement practical versions of the components of the free market structure.
According to him, the draft national development program can serve as a general roadmap for development, growth, and prosperity for the country, as well as a bridge from undesirable situations to a desirable situation, in order to accurately utilize the components of the free market economic structure to bring society to an ideal state.
He described the planning of the national development program during the republic as lacking in implementation and practicality, and emphasized that focusing national development programs solely on service sectors that, on the one hand, lacked sufficient specialized personnel and, on the other hand, did not have the desired level of efficiency in job creation and labor recruitment, was considered an ineffective program.
Mr. Bashiri considered the preparation of labor recruitment in the manufacturing companies and agricultural products sector as one of the basic solutions in structuring the design of national development programs, and stated that about eight million workers who existed as potential human labor capacity during the republic were left unused.
Challenges on the path of economic development and lack of infrastructure construction in the previous government
He considered economic challenges in all periods, especially in the current situation of the country, to be numerous, and said: The limited movements that were initiated during the republic were fake, fake, and in the eyes of the people.
According to him, in the past twenty years, despite the presence of political, economic, financial and military giants in Afghanistan, no infrastructure construction has been carried out and Afghanistan is still one of the countries that lacks basic and infrastructural development.
Increasing agricultural products to meet vital priority needs
Furthermore, Sayed Ali Dad Mosaddeq, an expert on economic issues, stated that work and efforts on the agricultural sector in Afghanistan can be a suitable platform for the country's economic growth and development. He said: Increasing agricultural production will lead to growth in gross domestic products and its chain of effects on other sectors will be felt as a chain of effects on the priority needs of the Afghan people.
According to him, the growth of gross domestic products has positive and direct effects on job creation, increased exports and management of the economic crisis, and with the increase in gross domestic products, the country's economic development graph will follow an upward trend.
Stating that economic development will also meet other priority needs of society, such as healthcare and education, he added: "Other effects of developing agricultural products will be the expansion of Afghanistan's trade in regional and international markets."
According to him, the media have great responsibilities towards their country and society by informing people about the advantages of using domestic products, and it is necessary for domestic media institutions to act seriously regarding these duties.
Economic development requires choosing a specific economic structure
It is worth mentioning that in this discussion, experts, while emphasizing the specification of a specific policy regarding the structure of the Afghan economic system, considered the most fundamental way to overcome the country's economic challenges to be methodical in the country's economic policies, and emphasized that we must move from the state of a resistance and commercial economy to a production-oriented economy.
They also added that creating tangible changes in the country's economic situation requires more time and at least close to a decade to build the country's infrastructure and create a large-scale job creation environment.
