Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Dr. Mohammad Hassan Jafari, Secretary General of the National Welfare Party of Afghanistan, said in an interview with AVA: “October 7 represents two bitter events for the Muslims of Afghanistan and Palestine. In 2001, the US and NATO occupied Afghanistan and during their 20-year presence, they destroyed the basic infrastructure and economy of Afghanistan. During this time, tens of thousands of Afghans were killed and injured, and they brought great suffering to the wounded nation of this land.”

Pointing out that the presence of the US and NATO in Afghanistan was also costly for the foreign forces themselves, he explained: “In 20 years, the US lost about 3,000 people, including four civilians and personnel from the Ministry of Defense, and nearly 20,320 American soldiers were injured. In addition, the two decades of occupation created numerous problems for other NATO member countries and the region.”

In Mr. Jafari’s view, “The US wanted to implement its colonial policy in Afghanistan and gain access to the country’s resources under the pretext of fighting terrorism and drugs, but it failed in all its declared and strategic goals and was finally blatantly expelled from the country due to the resistance of the people.”

Stating that October 7th was a tragic event for the people of Afghanistan, he added: "With the presence of America and NATO in Afghanistan, universities, schools, mosques, and even stadiums were not immune and were attacked, and all these tragedies were in fact the bloody consequence of the presence of foreigners in Afghanistan, which is irreparable."

 

Another incident: October 7th in Palestine

According to Mr. Jafari, "On October 7th, 2023, the Palestinians carried out another incident called the "Al-Aqsa Storm" and, during a surprise operation, showed Israel that they would no longer remain silent in the face of the crimes and occupations of the Zionist regime."

He added: "On October 7th, 2023, the Palestinians showed the world that the resistance is still alive and that they will defend their homeland until the last drop of blood and will never allow the Israelis to remain in the occupied territories."

Although, according to Mr. Jafari, “the October 7th operation created many difficulties for the two million population of the Gaza Strip, and with the aggressive attacks of the Zionist regime and the free aid of the United States and the West, tens of thousands of people were martyred and injured, and this strip was completely turned into a pile of dirt, but the resistance never failed.”

He also noted: “With the support of the entire Western world and in order to weaken the resistance, Israel attacked not only Palestine, but also Iran, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and even Qatar, and showed that it has no mercy on anyone or any country and does not adhere to any international law; but with all these barbarities, it could not achieve its goal.”

According to him, “Today, when this regime is talking about the end of the war and peace, the killing of the people of Gaza continues, but it should know that the Palestinian people and Hamas know that the peace proposal from the US and Israel is a deception plan and that they will certainly put pressure on the Palestinian people again and worse than before by releasing the hostages.”

He called on the Islamic world to “not wait for Trump and Netanyahu’s ridiculous peace plan and must unite and support the Palestinian people seriously and unanimously; if they do not make such a decision as soon as possible, Israel will undoubtedly attack other Islamic countries as well, and then the situation will become worrisome for everyone.”

The Secretary General of the National Welfare Party called the Zionist regime “terrorist, aggressor and autocratic” and said: “The leaders of Islamic countries must put aside unhealthy internal rivalries and differences and, alongside the Islamic Republic of Iran, save the region from Israeli and Western interference and aggression.”

Emphasizing that the salvation of Palestine and Jerusalem is in fact the salvation of Islam, he added: “The corrupt and fake Israeli regime, which was established by England 75 years ago, has so far created many calamities for the Islamic world, and if Muslims do not unite and integrate now, this abnormal situation will continue for years.”

The political expert also stated: “October 7th and Operation Storm Al-Aqsa have created a good opportunity for the Islamic world and the unity of Muslims. Despite Trump’s recent plan to end the war in Gaza, which itself seems like a deception and completely suspicious, Islamic countries must be fully prepared to confront the aggressors who want to make Gaza and many other regions of West Asia part of Israel’s territory.”

Mr. Jafari called on Islamic and Arab countries to “what are they waiting for with all these crimes of the Zionist regime and blatant aggression? The circumstances require that they cut off all their trade and economic relations with Israel and use the historical opportunity that has arisen - that Israel is isolated internationally economically and politically - to get rid of the problems of this cancerous tumor forever."
