Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Alireza Mirzaei, an international affairs expert, says that the axis of resistance in the region today is more coordinated, purposeful and coherent than ever before.
He emphasizes that the Islamic Republic of Iran, Palestine and Afghanistan have each stood against foreign aggression and occupation at different historical stages and have imposed major defeats on global powers with their resistance.
According to Mirzaei, the connection between the Gaza battle, Iran’s response in the form of Operation “True Promise,” and the historical resistance of Afghans against Britain, the Soviet Union, and the United States shows that the nations of the region are following a common and unified path of resistance against Western hegemony.
He says that US policies in the region, from the time of the occupation of Afghanistan until today, were designed based on security engineering in favor of the Zionist regime, but all of these projects have failed.
Mirzaei adds: “Twenty years of US military presence in Afghanistan, unconditional support for Israel, and failed plans such as the Deal of the Century and the retaking of Bagram, were all part of a strategy that has collapsed in the field of reality today.”
According to this expert, the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, Israel’s defeat against Palestinian resistance groups, and Iran’s direct attacks on American bases have sent a clear message to the world: power is shifting from the West to the East.
Mirzaei concludes that Washington today has neither the ability to return to Afghanistan nor to restore its past influence in the Middle East. He emphasizes that the unity between the resistance forces, especially between Iran, Palestinian groups and the conscious nations of the region, is the basis for the formation of a new order in West Asia; an order that is based on the independence, faith and resistance of nations.
Mohsen Mubariz, another political expert, also says that the Palestinian resistance today is no longer a military group, but has become a regional and global ideology.
He clarifies: “Operation Storm al-Aqsa against the Zionist regime showed that Hamas has been able to challenge Israel’s military structure and break its veneer of power.”
Mubariz says that the West, especially the US and the UK, thought that they could force nations to surrender through military, economic and propaganda pressure, but recent developments have proven the opposite of this idea.
He recalls: “From the wars in Afghanistan to the resistance in Gaza, Muslim nations have each time, relying on faith, unity, and will, brought the world’s greatest military powers to their knees.”
According to this analyst, the West today faces weakness, confusion, and apparent helplessness in the face of Hamas’ resistance.
Mubariz emphasizes: “What is happening in Gaza today is not just a battle between Hamas and Israel; it is a test for all Muslim nations.” He believes that Hamas’s show of strength and Iran’s direct response to the Zionist regime’s aggressions have shown that the axis of resistance is no longer simply in a defensive stance, but has reached the stage of deterrence and aggression.
