Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Holy Mashhad: November 4 in the official calendar of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a day that includes three important and fateful events in the history of this country: the exile of Imam Khomeini (RA), the massacre of students, and the capture of the American spy. These three historical events are a clear symbol of the Iranian nation’s resistance to the hegemony of arrogant powers, and today they remain in the memory of the Iranian nation and the freedom-loving nations of the world as the day of “fighting global arrogance.”
Davud Heidari, an expert on cultural and social issues, in an interview with an AVA reporter in Holy Mashhad, stated that anti-arrogance is one of the fundamental pillars of the Islamic Revolution, and said: “The Islamic Revolution of Iran was formed from the beginning based on the teachings of the Quran and the principle of negating foreign domination. The Holy Quran clearly emphasizes that believers should not be subject to the domination of infidels, because accepting domination means losing human dignity and faith. The Iranian nation understood this divine message and rose up against domestic tyranny and foreign domination.”
He added: “Over the past four decades, the Iranian nation has proven that anti-arrogance is not a fleeting slogan, but rather a part of the people’s religious and revolutionary identity. The presence of millions of people in the Aban 13 ceremony every year shows that this spirit has not only not diminished, but that new generations are also following it with greater faith and insight.”
Heydari noted: “America’s hostility towards the Islamic Republic of Iran is not because of its nuclear program or political issues, but rather is rooted in the intellectual and cultural independence of this nation. Iran is a country that has refused to be burdened by the imposed policies of the West, and this desire for independence has angered America and its allies. In fact, the Iranian nation has proven that resistance has a cost, but compromise with arrogance will bring a much heavier and more humiliating cost.”
Mehdi Habibi, an expert on cultural and religious issues, also stated in an interview with Ava’s correspondent: “Analysis of the behavior of arrogant powers shows that they are not only seeking military dominance, but also cultural and intellectual dominance over nations. The goal of the United States and its allies is to deprive nations of their identity and independence in order to pave the way for plundering resources and imposing their own demands. However, the Iranian nation, inspired by religious teachings and the leadership of the revolution, has stood against these policies.”
He continued: “In recent decades, the concept of anti-arrogance has transcended the borders of Iran and become a global discourse. Today, we witness that in countries such as Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and even in Latin America, nations, inspired by the Iranian resistance model, are standing up against oppression and neo-colonialism. This indicates the globalization of the resistance discourse that has challenged the hegemonic powers.”
In another part of his speech, Habibi emphasized: “The reality is that the cost of compromise with arrogance has always been greater than the cost of resistance. Countries that came to terms with arrogant powers in the hope of security or development not only lost their security and independence, but also became mired in poverty, insecurity, and instability. In contrast, nations that insisted on resistance continue on their path today with dignity and self-confidence.”
