Anti-war movements in the US and Europe are a serious threat to the legitimacy of Western governments; university elites should organize and publicize the protests
Cultural experts in the second program of the "Construction Dialogue" of the Tebyan Center in Kabul last week considered the formation of anti-war movements in the US and Europe as a serious threat to the legitimacy of Western governments and emphasized that academic elements and academic elites should organize these popular protests and expand them worldwide.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Following the protests and popular movements against the war in the US and Europe, cultural experts in the second program of the "Construction Dialogue" of the Tebyan Center in Kabul last week, Friday, 14 Abril 1405 AH, discussed the effects of these movements on the political decisions and actions of the US and its allies in the world and the region.

In this program, Ms. Soraya Sadat, a cultural activist in the country, stated that the consequences and human costs of the war of the United States and its allies against Iran are one of the reasons for the formation of these movements to stop the war, and said: "The huge financial costs and the distrust of the people of European and American countries in their governments are also among the reasons for the protests."
According to her, the people of the world today consider the start of the war by the United States and Israel against Iran unnecessary and illegitimate, therefore, they have launched protests to stop these crimes against humanity.
This cultural activist considered the protests of the people of America and Europe to stop the war to express the dissatisfaction of the people of those countries with their governments and added that if the Republican Party and Trump continue with these actions, the possibility of further expansion of this awakening and protests will increase and can certainly be a serious threat in delegitimizing his government.
He called the role of intellectuals and academic institutions in shaping and popularizing anti-war protests in the United States and Europe prominent and important, and emphasized that in order for these movements to have the greatest impact, academic elites and figures must enter the scene more operationally and seriously and organize the protests.

Mrs. Sadat considered the gradual censorship of Western media in covering anti-war protests to be an indication of the lack of impartiality of the world's media, and stated that despite media restrictions in the West, the free people of the world are using the least media freedoms to convey their opposition to the people of Iran.

Mrs. Fatemeh Hashemi, another cultural activist, also described the anti-war protests and movements in Western and American countries as a sign of their distrust of their governments, saying: "The main reason for this distrust is the lack of strategic interests not only for the American people but for the whole world."

Referring to America's dark history, which has always been associated with war and bloodshed, he added: "On the other hand, the slogans that the arrogant American regime used to raise under the guise of defending human rights or women and children are no longer consistent with the regime's actions today, and Trump has even publicly declared the goal of the war with Iran to plunder its oil." Hashemi also emphasized that if the United States does not respond positively to these protests and does not stop the war, not only will there be no honor and dignity left for Western human rights advocates, but its legitimacy will also be seriously questioned, and will undoubtedly pave the way for the collapse of Western civilization in the long run and accelerate its process.
