Taliban insurgents have abducted eight Afghan soldiers in northwest Badghis province, officials said Saturday.
AVA- The soldiers were taken away by the insurgents last night in Aab Kamari distrcit, said Mohammad Zahir Bahand, a spokesman for provincial governor.
Yosuf Ahmadi, a spokesman for Taliban, said that the forces were seized after overruning checkpoints in the district. He said that weapons were also seized in the attack.
Aab Kamari is a volatile district in Badghis, where militants frequently carry out attacks.
