The former Afghan President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the killing of at least three people including a former presidential security staff during an operation in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

AVA- The Office of the Former President in a statement said a former intelligence staff and Nangarhar customs department worker are also among those killed.

Karzai accused the American forces for the killing of the three people in Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of Nangarhar.

“The former Afghan President Hamid Karzai expressed his deep grief regarding the killing of three people, including the ex-presidential security staff, intelligence staff, and Nangarhar customs department staff,” the statement says.

It also added that the former President calls on the government of Afghanistan to take immediate actions to prevent the violations of the foreign forces.

The government and security officials have not commented regarding the report and Karzai’s statement so far.

But the provincial government earlier in a statement said at least three Taliban militants including one of their local leaders were killed in a special forces raid in this province.

The statement further added that the raid was conducted by the Afghan special forces in Bati Kot district and at least nine suspects were also taken to custody during the operation.
