Provincial officials said two Taliban members were arrested, including one of the group’s recruitment officers.

AVA-Nangarhar media office said on Sunday that a Taliban’s recruitment officer and a member of the group were arrested in the province.

According to Nangarhar officials, Mawlawi Rafiullah, who is a resident of Khogyani district of Nangarhar province, was arrested in PD4 in Jalalabad city.

Officials said Mullah Saber, another Taliban member, was arrested in Sherzad district.

According to the provincial media office, Saber was active in Sherzad district.

The office said that the detainees confessed to their own crimes. Officials also said an investigation is underway.
