Defense forces capabilities to be further bolsters in next two years: Ghani

AVA- Speaking during the inauguration of the Afghan parliament after winter holidays, President Ghani said the Afghan forces will make unprecedented gains in terms of capabilities until the fiscal year 1398.
He said bolstering the capabilities of the national defense and security forces is important for maintaining peace and stability and cope with the crisis the country has been facing since 40 years.
However, he said to achieve the goal necessary reforms should also be brought in the defense and security sector.
Insisting on government and nation’s support for peace and reconciliation, President Ghani said the country is facing an undeclared war as he insisted that the defense and security forces must remain on high alert at all time for the defense of the country.
He said there should be no negligence in the defense sector even for a second insisting that the security and defense forces should be always be ready to defend against the security threats.
According to President Ghani, the implementation of the four-year security plan will help the country to fully become self-sufficient in terms of security and defense.
This comes as efforts are underway by the Afghan government and the international allies of the country including NATO and the United States to bolster the capabilities of the Afghan forces as the officials are saying that billions of dollars will be invested to fill the capability gaps.
