A suicide bomb explosion went off in Afghanistan's eastern Jalalabad city on Wednesday, killing at least two people, officials said.

AVA- The blast happened around 3:10p.m. in Police District 1 of the city.
The suicide bomber on foot hit vehicle carrying provincial director of haj and religious affairs, Abdul Zahir Haqqani, the provincial governor's office said in a statement.
The official and his driver was killed in the attack. Nine more civilians were injured and were taken to hospital.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
