Abdullah, Janjua want Taliban to seize offer for talks
Pakistan and Afghanistan have called for the Taliban to respond positively to President Ashraf Ghani’s offer of open-ended peace talks.
The call came during a meeting Pakistan's National Security Adviser (NSA) Nasser Janjua and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah on Saturday.
Abdullah shared the meeting details on his Twitter account, saying they agreed the Taliban should seize the opportunity created by the peace offer from the Afghan leader.
The two leaders also agreed inter-state dialogue on the improvement of relations between the two countries.
Earlier, Janjua met President Ghani and his Afghan counter Hanif Atmar. Bilateral relations and regional security issues came up for discussion.
