Pakistan PM to visit Kabul next week

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will visit Kabul next week, Kabul said Thursday.


AVA- President Ashraf Ghani had extended an invitation to the PM of the neighbouring country this month.
Javid Faisal, deputy spokesman for Afghanistan's Chief Executive, told reporters in Kabul that Abbasi would visit Kabul on 6th April.
He said that a meeting between the Afghan and Pakistani officials would be held during the visit on building mutual trust for sustainable peace.
He added that during the meeting, Kabul would demand Pakistan to deliver on promises made on fighting terrorism.
According to him, Kabul would also call for joint efforts against terrorism to address the menace in Afghanistan and the region.
Faisal said that Taliban were being financed by different countries, adding a regional consensus should be created for peace.
Referring to recent conference on Afghanistan in Tashkent, Faisal said that the meeting was the most important meeting on Afghanistan after Kabul Process meeting last month.
He said that the Russian foreign minister had called for a trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, Russia and U.S. on peace. He said that date for the meeting was not discussed yet.
