Large cache of weapons and ammunition seized in Kabul

AVA- The Kabul police commandment officials are saying that the cache was discovered in Mosahi district of Kabul and various weapons and ammunition have been confiscated from the depot.
The officials further added that the militants were apparently looking to use the heavy and light weaponry in their future attacks in the capital.
The police officials did not provide further information in this regard but are saying that an investigation is underway and more details will be released as appropriate.
The anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban insurgents have not commented regarding the report so far.
This comes as the anti-government armed militants are attempting to carry out attacks in the key provinces and cities of the country including capital Kabul during the recent weeks and months.
The Taliban group last week announced their spring offensive and vowed to carry out attacks on government and security officials as well as the compounds belonging to the Afghan government, security forces, and foreign forces.
