One killed, 13 injured in Toronto shooting
A man shot 14 people, killing one and injuring 13 others in Toronto's east-end neighborhood before dying after an exchange of gunfire with police, according to CTV Monday.
AVA- Police Chief Mark Saunders said the shooting was not random and he did not rule out terrorism as a motive. It has not been confirmed whether the shooter was shot down by police or died from a self-inflicted gunshot.
The wounded were taken to hospitals, including a young girl, who was in critical condition.
Other than the shooter, a woman was killed at the scene.
Toronto police have been seeking videos and photos from people nearby. A video from one witness showed a man dressed in black with a hat firing three shots from the sidewalk into at least one shop or restaurant late Sunday.
The gunfire happened at 10 p.m. Sunday (0200 GMT Monday) in Greektown, a lively Toronto neighborhood in between Danforth and Logan avenues lined with restaurants and cafes.
