Government leaders meet in Kabul after Gen. Dostum’s return from Turkey
The leaders of the government of national unity met in Kabul today a week after the First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum’s return from Turkey.
Haroon Chakhansuri, deputy chief of staff of the presidential office, confirmed the meeting between the government leaders this morning.
He said President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, First Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum, Second Vice president Sarwar Danish, and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah met in Kabul today to hold talks regarding the important national issues.
Chakhansuri did not elaborate further regarding the meeting between the government leaders.
Gen. Dostum had earlier said that he would hold talks President Ghani regarding the release of Nizamuddin Qaisari, the acting district police chief of Faryab’s Qaisar district.
A spokesman of Junbish Milli Party, Bashir Ahmad Tahyanj, had also said earlier that Gen. Dostum would step up efforts for the release of Commander Nizamuddin Qaisari after his return to Kabul.
