President Ghani orders strict actions against land grabbers
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with the district administrative chiefs of the 14 districts of Kabul province and ordered the relevant authorities to take strict actions against the land grabbers.
The Office of the President, ARG Palace, in a statement said the district administrative chiefs of 14 districts of Kabul shared their issues and recommendations regarding the improvement of security, steps against irresponsible armed individuals, increasing the number of police force in some districts, unemployment, lack of school compounds in some districts, medical facilities and roads, and grabbing of land by some influential individuals.
President Ghani said the one of the main issues is the lack of coordination among the institutions in the districts which must be resolved.
Pointing towards the presence of unprofessional police forces in some districts, President Ghani ordered the head of the Independent Directorate of the Local Governance, head of the administrative office of the presidential palace, and Kabul governor to prepare a comprehensive plan for the establishment of coordination among the government institutions on district levels.
He also instructed the district administrative chiefs of Kabul districts to activate the district councils and prepare a plan with the help of the local residents to resolve the issues of unemployment and water supply.
President Ghani also ordered the relevant security authorities to prepare a security plan for the improvement of the security situation of the districts and take strict actions against the land grabbers.
He also instructed the Kabul governor to prepare a list of schools in Kabul so that the province can be included in the list based on which 6,000 schools will be built over the next two years.
