The Afghanistan High Security Printing Ground—breaking is built by the technical assistance of Germany to print all government high security documents in accordance with the international standards.
H.E. Dr. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Adviser on Infrastructure and Technology to the President of Afghanistan said:" Fortunately, today the foundation stone of the training center for safe documents has been put in place by Germany, and we are witnessing the start of the construction of this training center.
He added:" The Afghanistan High Security Printing Ground—breaking will be able to print all government documents such as passports, e-mails, government identity cards and all important paper documents of non-fraudulent quality in accordance with international standards within the country.
Mr Walter Hassmann, German Ambassador to Afghanistan said: „In my last working days in Afghanistan, it is a particular pleasure for me to take part in the ground-breaking ceremony for the Afghan State Printing House and to see this project move forward. Once the State Printing House is complete, the Afghan State will have won a very important additional capacity, being able to produce its own tamper-proof documents. This project is also a remarkable model of Afghan-German cooperation – not only because of the amount of funding that was provided both by the Federal Government of Germany and the Afghan Government, but also due to the close cooperation with the German partner institution of the Afghan State Printing House.
The Afghanistan High Security Printing Ground—breaking values of 70 million Euros will be jointly funded by the Government of Afghanistan and Germany. In this project, the construction of new repairs, proper land and safety is the Ministry of Finance responsibility, and the procurement of machinery, equipment and design of new repairs, quality control and capacity building of the personnel is the responsibility of Germany. That until now significant progress has been made in this area.
