Foreigners among 6 wounded in a suicide attack in Pakistan
At least six people including foreigners were wounded in a suicide attacak in Balochistan province of Pakistan, the local security officials said.
The incident took place earlier today in the vicinity of Chaghai area of the province, targeting workers of a Copper Gold Project.
A Levies source has told Geo News that suicide bomber attempted to attack the bus but did not succeed.
Commissioner Quetta Division Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai confirmed that a suicide bomber detonated explosives near the bus.
“Three foreigners and three FC personnel were injured in the blast,” the commissioner said, adding that the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility behind the attack.
Today’s incident took place almost three weeks a suicide attack left at least 31 dead and at last 20 wounded in Quetta city, the provincial capital of Balochistan.
The Inspector General Police Quetta Mohsin Butt had said a police vehicle was targeted in the attack, leaving at least31 people dead and 20 others wounded.
